MN Grizzlies Fall Teams 2019

The MacStrength MN Grizzlies fall program is open for enrollment. We have made some changes to the schedule that will bring a more complete baseball experience. This team is a varsity level team and will carry no more than 14 players.

Program Details:

  • Facility Access Aug. 10 - Oct 31

  • Full Program Membership: Strength Training & 2x/week indoor practice

  • Weekly outdoor practices

  • AFBL Fall League Schedule and Playoff (9-10 local games)

  • Twin Cities Classic Tournament Aug 16-18 (3-4 local games)

  • Scrimmage at a Local College (1-2 local games)

  • Perfect Game Kernels Tournament Sept 20-23 (3-5 games in Marion, IA)

  • Mash Fall Championship Oct 12-13 (3-4 local games)

  • Las Vegas Desert Classic Oct 25-27 (4-5 games in Las Vegas, NV)

  • College Recruiting Package

  • Jersey/Hat

Cost for the program is $1795 plus travel and lodging.

Varsity Full Program (Strength and Skills)

August 10th - Oct. 31st

The full program is the base that MacStrength was founded on. It is a uniquely crafted strength and speed training program, combined with baseball specific practice in order to maximize our athletes development. Through analyzing the specific bio-mechanical movements needed to perform at a high level, MacStrength was able to create a program that alongside our baseball drills, allows us to see huge advances in our athletes skill set. The Full Program consists of  

Covers:

  • Dynamic warm-up and speed development

  • Full strength training program

  • Arm strength and velocity

  • Hitting

  • Defense footwork and glove training

Consists Of:

  • 4 Strength training sessions

  • 2 Specific skill practices a week

  • 1 Full practice a week (typically outdoor)

  • 1 Make up / open gym time

Practice times

In order to get the most out of our Skills Practices, we will split the athletes into two groups. Loosely, Group 1 for the athletes playing on a MacStrength Fall Team, Group 2 for those who are just training. 

  • Strength and Speed: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday / 3:30 to 5:00pm

  • Skills Practice:

    • Group 1 - Monday and Wednesday / 5:00 to 6:30pm or

    • Group 2 - Tuesday and Thursday / 5:00 to 6:30pm

  • Open Gym: Friday / 3:00 to 5:30pm

  • Full Outdoor Practice Saturday Or Sunday: Location and Time TBA. (these practices go along with the Fall team practices and be moved indoors when the weather gets nasty)

  • Make-Up Practice Times: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 to 9:30pm. Our instructors may be busy with lessons at this time, but you can do your progressions and light work to make sure you are doing everything you can to improve.


Varsity Half Program (Skills)

August 27th - Oct. 27th

A modified version of our full program designed for athletes currently in-season with another sport or who are unable to fully commit 5 days per week due to other conflicts.

Covers:

  • Dynamic warm-up and speed development

  • Throwing (arm care and strength)

  • Hitting (progressions and muscle recruitment work)

  • Defense (footwork and glove training)

Consists Of:

  • 3 Practices a week

  • 1 make up / open gym time

 

Practice Times:

  • Skills Practice: Monday and Wednesday / 6:30 to 8:00pm

  • Open Gym: Friday / 3:00 to 4:30pm

  • Full Practice Saturday Or Sunday: Location and Time TBA. (these practices go along with the Fall team practices and be moved indoors when the weather gets nasty)

  • Make-Up Practice Times: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 to 9:30pm


14U Program: 

August 27th - Oct. 27th

A modified version of our Full Program designed for athletes 14 & under who are still in the process of developing sound bio-mechanical movement patterns. 

Covers:

  • Dynamic warm-up and speed development

  • Throwing (arm care and strength)

  • Hitting (progressions and muscle recruitment work)

  • Defense (footwork and glove training)

Consists Of:

  • 3 Practices a week

  • 1 make up / open gym time

 

Practice Times For 14U Program:

  • Skills Practice: Tuesday and Thursday / 6:30 to 8:00pm

  • Open Gym: Friday / 5:00 to 6:30 Open Gym make-up practice time.

  • Full Practice Saturday Or Sunday: Location and Time TBA. (these practices go along with the Fall team practices and be moved indoors when the weather gets nasty)
